Hello,
I tried this “Cool Solution - Single Server Backup and Restore” and it didn’t work properly. I still have my users, groups and DNS table, but nothing really works.
DNS is unstable, people are having trouble to access the internet and email.
Active directory authentication does not work at all. I get “no logon servers available”.
Samba shares give me “connection refused”

The only problem I had when restoring was in the step “service slapd start”, which failed. I completed the other steps, tried again and it started.

This is what I get in /var/log/syslog
