Wrong ip addresses of an UCS backup server

Hello,

ich have the following problem:
Our Samba server has two nics for two differents LANs.
The problem is, this server updates it’s IP addresses wrong and as a result I have wrong IPs in the DNS.

I don’t know, how often I deleted the wrong entries, but they appear every now and then, again.

Come on … Univention team … there must be a way to solve this …
Every day I have to delete those entries again.

Please help …

This thread fixed my issue.

Remove DNS entry DEFINITELY

Hi Valentin, I'm guessing your master is a samba4 ad dc. If so samba is interfering with your desired dns settings by automatically re-adding the dns entries. You can try to exclude the second interface by adding it to the ucr variable "samba/register/exclude/interfaces" (don't forget to restart samba afterwards by executing "service samba restart") If you remove the dns entries they shouldn't reappear.
