Users logon server is on a different subnet in a different city

Hello all
I notice that my users often have their logon authenticated by a server outside their own subnet. In my case this means they are being authenticated by a server in a different city (via VPN).
Is this normal behavior?

That’s their client OS? For Windows you have to configure different sites if you don’t want this behavior.
