User allowed to login with spaces before username

Using Nomad login if the user puts a space or spaces in front of their username on the login screen it creates another entire home folder for that user with the same number of spaces in front of the user name. Example: “testuser” and ” testuser” both login to the same computer and create home folders with the same owner but different folders with the spaces. I have to delete the bad users from Users & Groups in system prefs to restore functionality to the home folder with no spaces. This is on Monterey 12.3 on an M1 iMac. we are on UCS 5.0-1 errata262. This also happens if I directly connect to the UCS server for accessing a share. Putting spaces in front of the name still allows a valid connection to the samba share.
