Hi,
I also encountered a strange behavior three times now (I use UCS only for a month now).
When I do a fresh install of a UCS machine (hardware or virtual doesn’t appear to matter) and during the installation process I select the machine to be a member server join the domain and also upgrade the os during install the install hangs at 86% and fails after a couple of hours.
Result:
A machine that calls itself after reboot “hostname-not-set” and is not joined to the domain, but otherwise apparently mostly functional.
Now my suspicion is, that this happens because our UCS Domain Master is at version 5.2-3 and the setup does not check for that and tries to force upgrade always to the latest release maybe, which of course fails and is not handled by the installer correctly.
Can anyone confirm that behavior?
Did not want to file a bug yet…
Cheers
Joe
