Update UCS 5.0.9 to 5.2.0

Hey guys, I’m updating my UCS Server to 5.2.0 but it gives an error when updating

The system can not be updated to UCS 5.1 due to the following reasons:

min_version:
The system needs to be at least at version 5.0-9-1204 in order to update!

How do you update it? to a certain errata level, is there any particular command that can be used to updated to a particular errata level?

Hi, We are not yet completely ready for 5.2 updated but I’m seeing this notification in the “Software Update”: The currently installed release version is 5.0-9 errata1213. Further release updates are available but cannot be installed. Component 'cool-solutions' is not yet available for newer release versions. Yes, we are using cool-solutions for user and machine certificates. It is rather handy, so we wouldn’t wan to lose it. Is there any plan for cool-solutions to support 5.2?

Hey,

both threads are unrelated: The one you are linking is due to the Cool Solutions repository being not available yet, in the case here it’s indeed only the update to the latest version of UCS 5.0 that is missing.

With the command line you can conduct an update to the latest version of UCS 5.0 via: univention-upgrade --updateto=5.0-99

We have the same Issue.
Our Fileserver says the same Information.
If i try univention-upgrade --updateto=5.0-99 there is nothing happend.

root@files:~# univention-upgrade --updateto=5.0-99

Starting univention-upgrade. Current UCS version is 5.0-9 errata0

Checking for local repository: none
Checking for package updates: none
Checking for app updates: none
Checking for release updates: 5.1-0 is available but updater has been instructed to stop at version 5.0-99.

I change in file: /etc/univention/base.conf
version/erratalevel from 0 to 1204

My issue fits this topic, so I’ll post here rather than starting a new one.

I’m trying to upgrade from 5.0-9 to 5.2 our secondary DC is showing this as a problem with upgrade.

We have moved to Keycloack and I was under the impression anything to do with the simplesamlphp is now resolved.

My question is, how to resolve this issue without spending time renewing the certs? All I want is UCS 5.2 with keycloak.

I had a look at Renewing the SSL certificates but it’s way too involving to follow. Unless there’s now other solution.

If you only use Keycloak you can ignore this check. It won’t be displayed as error anymore in UCS 5.2.
