the 4.3 pre-update check indicates a probelm with the external kopano repo. Is this still up-to-date and if yes is there a time schedule for a fix ?

Similar to the 4.1 -> 4.2 upgrade the ucs upgrade would run into dependency issues during the upgrade, when the Kopano repo is enabled. We therefore decided to block the upgrade for the moment.
A solution is not actively pushed from our side, but I heard that Univention has a change for the appstore on their roadmap, which will allow us to push more updates directly to the app store. This will resolve these kind of issues as well.
