univentionFreeAttribute1 not allowed on Contact LDAP Entry

Hello,

I created an extended attribute univentionFreeAttribute1 to add info to Users and Contacts.

On the Users, it works OK, but on the Contacts I keep getting this error:
The LDAP object could not be saved: LDAP Error Object class violation: attribute ‘univentionFreeAttribute1’ not allowed

Any ideas why?

Hi!

The contacts in UCS are just what they are supposed to be: contact. They have only a limited set of object classes and do not support extended attributes.

Can I ask:

  • what objects support the extended attributes? Just users?
  • Is there any way to enable this support for other objects?
