I hope that you can help me, because right now I am at a loss. I am trying to use Univention as my AD and connect it with a Truenas.
The connectionover AD is working fine and I can see the users in the shell. My problem(s):
- I want the users to have the same ID on multiple systems. If I use AD mapping the users won’t get mapped to a user ID on the Truenas (Range ~2000+) but the groups do.
- If I change the idmapping on the Truenas to RID all groups and users are mapped on the Truenas but (obviously) with a different ID.
- If I want to join the Domain with LDAP it is not working at all.
Does anyone know any solution? I just need one problem fixed and I think I’m good. But any help right now is appreciated.
