Uninstall SimpleSAMLphp

Hi. I could not find any article helping to remove SimpleSAMLphp from UCS.

We are running UCS 5.0-9. Despite UCS team offering keycloak inside UCS, we decided to setup and manage our own HA keycloak that federates to UCS LDAP. It works for our scenario.

This leaves us with removing SimpleSAMLphp from Univention. Which I could not figure out how to do safely. My guess is to go ahead and remove the app package from “Package Management”? There is nothing relevant in “App centre”.

currently if I run diagnostics I have two issues:

  • saml certificate validation failed
  • Check for modified UCR templates ( /etc/univention/templates/files/etc/simplesamlphp/metadata/97saml20-idp-hosted.php)

There is also “SAML” option in “Domain” menu in UCS.

none of these needed anymore? I do not mind cosmetics but would like to remove packages and scripts etc if possible.

Please point me to the relevant article if exist, I might have missed that in my search.

Hello. Further to this question. If I try uninstall “univention-saml” or “simplesamlphp” packages, Univention UCS also wants to uninstall “univention-google-apps” which I think I need, because I integrate UCS with our Google account (e.g. new users).
