I’ve been tasked with retiring an old 2k8R2 domain controller and replacing it with UCS.
The takeover module wants an admin account and password.
Which admin, how admin?
A local admin ID? (which I’ve been reading doesn’t really exist on a DC)
I’ve been given an account ID which can log into the DC and I can get a cmd prompt as administrator, this good enough?
Or is this a Domain Admin ID? If so, how would I check if the ID I have is good enough? (I’m a unix admin, not AD)
It should be a member of the Domain Admins group.
