UCS 5.2-3 has been released

With Univention Corporate Server 5.2-3, the third patchlevel release for Univention Corporate Server (UCS) is now available.

UCS 5.2-3 provides several feature improvements and extensions, new properties as well as various improvements and bugfixes. Here is an overview of the most important changes:

  • The Active Directory Connector now knows the Univention Configuration Registry Variable connector/ad/mapping/allow-subtree-ancestors which simplifies the management of selective synchronization of more complex LDAP DIT structures.
  • Univention Directory Manager has seen an update that allows user and computer objects to get their Primary Group from their parent container during creation.
  • Added a listener plugin which fuels the Provisioning Service that you can install in a preview version through the App Center. The App receives further updates throughout Univention Corporate Server 5.2-3.
  • Univention Corporate Server 5.2-3 includes numerous security updates for packages, such as sudo, squid, GnuTLS, firefox-esr, Linux kernel, and many others to ensure protection against the latest vulnerabilities. In another update, OpenLDAP increased the maximum number of indexed attributes from 128 to 256.
