I am contemplating dumping my ailing MacOS Server and replacing it with something that actually serves files! Univention Software on first brush looks suitable. I have a couple of questions.
- Can I use a Mac computer to reconfigure to run the software on?
- How does it handle file serving with permissions, inheritance, propagation of permissions etc.
- FTP - is that intrinsically handled?
I’m sure that if I go ahead I will have many more questions but that is enough for now. Cheers.
