Anyone can help me please ?

Hi,

some people are reading, probably even daily. We might have not come across such issue before or simply don’t know how to help.

You need to do some searching on forum, check your logs and provide us with more information. You might get answers then.

Ive found this post here : 36690 – error message: The ldap object could not be saved: permission denied

I don’t know if it’s related

Ive clone this bug as: 57736 – error message: The ldap object could not be saved: permission denied

I would like to give you more information but i don’t know what to check exactly can you guide me please

Thanks !

Has this worked before, do you have rights to edit users and LDAP settings.

Have you got another user with admin rights that you could test if it is working?
Have you rebooted the server since the update?

You raised a bug report, surely Univention team will look at it.

Regarding the need to add Nextcloud permission to a user; I don’t use NC from the UCS App Center, so not to sure what to expect but according to the description:

Nextcloud is well integrated in UCS, offering easy installation. The automatic configuration includes:

Administrator is automatically Nextcloud admin
Users are enabled to access Nextcloud by default
Users and Groups can be enabled/disabled in User & Group Settings

Could there be a group conflict with the NC setting?

btw after a quick search I found this:

Could this be a reason? Have you installed the NC app on a wrong server type?

Yes it was working before i could give access to Nextcloud app and remove permission without any problem. My UCS seerver is link to our Active Directory Domain. Ive reboot the server multiple times. I don’t have another admin user to test. Ive used my Domain Admin account since the server is installed.

How you give permission to nextcloud app ? In command line ?

you can experiment with

udm users/user list
udm users/user modify

Be careful though…

Ok cool i was able to enable or disable Nextcloud app

List all my users:
udm users/user list > users.txt

Enable Nextcloud App:
udm users/user modify --dn “uid=…” --set nextcloudEnabled=1 --set nextcloudQuota=1GB

Disable Nextcloud App:
udm users/user modify --dn “uid=…” --set nextcloudEnabled=0

So there is clearly a problem with the GUI

Thanks for helping me really appreciated it

I’m glad it worked
