Seafile community vs professional

Hello everyone,

From what I can understand there are two versions of Seafile one Pro and other Community
The latter, has limitations but not the number of users only at the level of functions.
then it would be possible in the app center to have the possibility of installing the “Seafile community”?
Or if anyone knows how to do it manually? If so can anyone give the hint how to do?
I would like to see how Seafile Community works with UCS.

Some help on this idea?

Hey pjc.casanova,
christoph here, the developer of the seafile univention app. Seafile pro has more features but requires a license as soon as you have more than 3 users. 9 users cost only 100$ per year. Community is free but has limited functions.

Right now I do not plan to add seafile community to the univention app store.

Hey,

thanks for the statement. And now we are at the advantages of UCS:

When you perfer to have an all-in-one solutione where you do not have to take care about dependencies and so on you can use the apps available for UCS.

If you are not ok with the availables apps or are missing some features you are free to install the programm on your own.

You can do both with UCS just as you like.
