Hallo,
ich habe UCS testweise auf 2 Servern installiert. Auf dem primary node ist der “Active Directory-kompatible Domaincontroller” installiert. Der andere Rechner ist als backup Node konfiguriert.
Nun möchte ich auf ein Share auf dem Backup Node zugreifen; das Share ist konfiguriert und auch via udm shares/share list --filter cn=fubar auf beiden Nodes sichtbar. Allerdings kein Zugriff darauf möglich. Im Rahmen dessen habe ich festgestellt dass auf dem Backup Node gar kein Samba installiert ist (bzw. nur samba-common); soll das so sein? Muss ich da noch etwas nachinstallieren? Wenn ich versuche univention-samba4 auf dem backup node zu installieren will er u.a. auch samba-ad-dc installieren. Das habe ich mich erst einmal nicht getraut…

you have to install active-directory compatible domaincontroller app on the backup ucs server too

p.s. this will also replicate AD sysvol between this two servers
if you only want to have a member server then install this app on the backup ucs server´
Thanks for your reply and sorry for my german post. Did not know that English is the preferred language.
In the meantime i already had installed the univention-samba4 package including dependencies.
It seems to do the job=> smbd is now working and so does the sysvol replication.
Shouldnt those packages be automatically installed when selecting “Domain backup” role? Maybe i overlooked something in the docs?
BTW: When using the Appcenter on the primary node i cannot select the backup node for installing the AD compatible domaincontroller app. Am i supposed to install it via the appcenter on the backup node directly?
