Samba 85% ram usage

This vm have 8Gb ram

Hey,

such memory usage looks like a memory leak, and not like normal operation. I haven’t observed such a situation myself yet. I’d suggest you restart Samba (rather: stop it, make sure no samba processes remain, start it again), monitor the situation and contact Univention’s support if this happens regularly.

On the other hand, if the memory usage grows slowly over time, maybe a daily restart in the wee hours might suffice as a band-aid.
