Backstory:
I have a production standalone UCS server version 5.0-9 errata1297. It has been running with apps LetsEncrypt, Kopano Core, Kopano Webapp, Z-Push, NextCloud, Guacamole, and OnlyOffice.
There was no Microsoft AD integration. All authentication was using the standard LDAP configuration.
To address an new network challenge, I wanted to explore using the OPSI application. The installation of the app was straight forward and successful.
After review, we decided to remove the app. This is primarily due to the 98-100% CPU utilization of the process cldap (master) that is apparently related to the SAMBA installation which came in with the OPSI install.
Current Problem:
I successfully removed the OPSI app. This has left the Active-Directory compatible domain controller application still installed. And with it, the cldap process is still running on the server at or near CPU 100%
When I started the process to remove this remaining app, there were warnings about removing the AD, etc.
I discontinued the uninstall process and am now researching and asking the question:
Can I safely remove this “Active Directory-compatible Domain Controller” application? Will all my user authentication and configuration within LDAP still be intact?
I appreciate any guidance or insight you have.
