Remove Open-XChange but keep all email?

Hi,

I’d like to remove open-xchnage, but keep all users and their email intact. When I go to remove open-xchange, it also wants to remove the mail server.

Is there a clean way to remove open-xchnage and still keep all mail server functionality? No users have open-xchnage access at this point.

Hello Gerald,

you can safely uninstall the OX App, and then install the mailserver app. The mailboxes will not be deleted. OX does not handle mail itself. It uses the UCS mailserver components for that. Those will be reinstalled once you install the mailserver app.
Mailboxes will not even be deleted if users are removed, unless the UCR variable mail/dovecot/mailbox/delete has been set to yes/true.
