Question to cleanup Kopano

I‘m looking for a solution to delete mails older than 30 days in the wastebasket by a cron job because we are all working with iPhone and iPad via imap. These devices don‘t delete a mail when it is moving to the wastebasket. So these mails stay there for ever maybe.

I found a script on the kopano side

but i don‘t know how to install and to use it in the special UCS version of kopano. I’m afraid to destroy my well-functioning server when i use this script.

Is this script the only solution and if so, how do I use it? Or does anyone know another one?

A bit off topic, but:

Why imap and not ActiveSync?

The Kopano apps (at least core, webapp and z-push) do not use Docker so you can just install the script locally. There are a few Kopano partners online in this forum, if you are afraid to install it on your own, then they can probably help out as well.

Apart from the already linked I also know of https://github.com/bytemine/autodelete from @bytemine. I have not used it myself, though.

it was sunday morning and i wasn‘t really awake yet. Of course we are working with ActiveSync. Nevertheless the mails are not deleted :)))

I thought until now that kopano, like nextcloud, would be a Docker version.

I will try the script from kopano in the next days.
