Question: Do UCS Servers start Synchronization Again After a Network Timeout?
In case an underlying network (ie a VPN conection) went down, does a backup (or slave) automatically re-enable the connection to the master?
Answer
As soon as the network is back, the server re-connects to the master and starts synchronizing. There is not need for manual interaction.
Note In case you are using the OpenVPN App a race condition might happen if you need to acquire settings from the master’s OpenLDAP for the functionality of OpenVPN. Thus will lead to a non functional OpenVPN connection as long as the servers are not in sync.
