Problem:

Sync to AD is failing with Transport endpoint is not connected
In the /var/log/univention/connector-ad.log you can see lines like

password_sync_ucs: get_password_from_ad failed with (3221225997, ‘The transport connection has been reset.’),

or tracebacks ending with:

ldap.SERVER_DOWN: {‘result’: -1, ‘desc’: “Can’t contact LDAP server”, ‘errno’: 107, ‘ctrls’: , ‘info’: ‘Transport endpoint is not connected’}

Solution:

The Microsoft AD may have a problem and it should be considered to reboot the server.
