Problem: Sambatransfers in Linux are extremely slow
In the default installation samba is windows optimized, for this reason filetransfers in linux are very slow, about 35-50MB/s on an Gigabit Network.
Solution
If you use CIFS/Samba only (disable NFS), you can disable “samba/kernel_oplocks” in UCR on the sambaserver. Restart Samba.
For maximum speed, about 95-120MB/s see my screenshot.
