Problem
OpenProject is no longer displayed under installed apps in the Univention Management Console (UMC), preventing uninstallation through the graphical interface. The OpenProject activation option is still visible under Users → select a user → Apps.
This procedure was verified with OpenProject 13.4.1 on an app server running UCS 5.0-10 errata1386.
Investigation
Run the following commands as root on the UCS server hosting OpenProject:
univention-app info
ucr search --brief appcenter/apps/openproject
An installed application is indicated by openproject=13.4.1 under Installed and the following UCR values:
appcenter/apps/openproject/status: installed
appcenter/apps/openproject/version: 13.4.1
The activation option in the user settings alone does not prove that the application is still installed.
Root Cause
OpenProject remained installed and registered on the app server despite being absent from the graphical list of installed apps. The reason for its absence from that list was not determined.
Solution
After migrating any required application data, create a current backup of the app server.
Run the regular App Center uninstallation as root on the server hosting OpenProject:
univention-app remove openproject
After successful completion, verify the installation status:
univention-app info
OpenProject must no longer appear under Installed.
Sign out of the UMC and sign in again. Open a user and check whether the OpenProject activation option has disappeared. In the verified case, the regular uninstallation also removed this option without manual LDAP changes.
If uninstallation fails or the activation option remains, retain the command output and investigate before deleting the app server or manually removing LDAP objects.
This procedure verifies application uninstallation and removal of the user activation option. It does not establish that all application data, configuration files, or LDAP attributes have been deleted. Do not remove LDAP schema extensions as part of this procedure.
