Problem: CUPS “Filter failed” with hpijs Drivers
Printer jobs get stuck in the queue with the state of ‘filter failed’.
In error.log of CUPS you notice the following:
Process is dying with "Unable to determine number of pages, page count: -1"
Environment
You have installed the hpijs drivers for your printer.
Solution
At time of writing a bug exists in these drivers.
Use the CUPS provided drivers “hplip”.
