Hello. One of our staff has issues resetting the password. They want their password to be palindrome string but we get error when changing password: “Changing password failed. The password is a palindrome.”
How to find in UCS settings whether palindrome passwords are allowed? What causes this?
Also when I tested this, UCS allowed me to use palindrome string. Cannot replicate.

The palindrome check is part of a fixed set of tests that are carried out by a component called “cracklib”. It’s enforcement can be configured by activating a password policy with the “Password quality check” enabled (see also: How-to: Align Password Policies across Directory Services).
