OX groups visible in Calendar attendee selection, but not in Address Book / Mail recipient lookup

Hi,

I am seeing what looks like inconsistent behavior with groups in UCS + OX App Suite and wanted to confirm whether this is expected.

Setup:

  • UCS with OX App Suite
  • Group is configured in UCS
  • Group has a mail address
  • Mail delivery to the group works
  • The group is present in OX

Behavior:

  • In OX Calendar, I can find and add the group when selecting attendees
  • In OX Mail / Address Book, the same group does not show up in address book search or recipient autocomplete

So from the CLI / backend side, the group seems to be configured correctly, and from the frontend side it is at least visible to Calendar.

My question is:

Is this expected behavior in OX App Suite?
In other words, are Calendar group lookup and Address Book / Mail recipient lookup using different data sources or different object types, so that a group can be available in Calendar but not appear in the address book?

What I already checked:

  • group has mailPrimaryAddress
  • mail to the group works
  • group is visible in OX CLI query
  • group can be selected in Calendar

What I would like to know:

  • Is this a known product limitation?
  • Is there a supported way to make such groups appear in Mail recipient lookup / Address Book?
  • If not, is the intended behavior simply to enter the full group mail address manually?
