OpenXchange Updater

Hallo,

habe auf meinem Windows PC den OX Updater installiert um den OXtender2 zu bekommen.
Leider bekomme ich keine Verbindung. Die Log Datei siehe unten.
Kann mir hier jemand helfen?

Both the OXtender and the OXupdater have been discontinued.

Hello,
is there any public available statement how Open Xchange wants to handle the number one Exchange-Client (Outlook). Is there any alternative connection like Active-Sync?
The EM-Client can´t be meant as serious alternative. For Example it does not sync Filter rules and therefore it is not possible to set a simple Vacation-autoresponder. I bet for a Outlook-user there are dozens of missing Features.

Don´t get me wrong, i really do not like Outlook but it seems that some People around me are unable to live without it.

I guess OX’s Target are Customers with several thousand Mailboxes. In that case i do not really understand why it is available for UCS.

Regards,
Matthias

Hello,

Active-Sync is available for Open-Xchange: https://oxpedia.org/wiki/index.php?title=AppSuite:Connector_for_Business_Mobility_Installation_Guide

OX is moving away from proprietary protocols. Outlook is supported as much as it can consume standard protocols.

There is standard way to sync filter-rules: the Managesieve protocol. The installed Dovecot supports it, unfortunately Outlook doesn’t. OX uses it to set filter rules (incl. the vacation notice).

A Vacation autoresponder can be configured by users themselves in the OX Webinterface in Settings.

Greetings
Daniel

Hello,
thank you very much for the link and taking time to answer Questions for a foreign Product!!
I think i will give that a try. Is it as the link-name suggests intended for mobile usage or is it also meant for the Desktop-Client? The Documentation seems to cover only mobile Clients: http://software.open-xchange.com/products/appsuite/doc/mobilityconnector/OX-App-Suite-Connector-for-Business-Mobility-English-v7.10.0.pdf

Is it true that the EM-Client is the preferred Desktop Client? Sadly the EM-Client also does not sync sieve-rules. Additionally i have a second Problem which makes handling Appointments very uncomfortably: OX em-client unable to handle invitation

Best regards.
Matthias
