Nextcloud share with external via link / smb share

Hi,

we integrate our smb shares from ucs server into nextcloud. so the user can access the smb shares via
nextcloud webgui. Now we want to share the data from the smb share via link.
In admin settings of external share we set enable “Teilen aktivieren”.
But we can not use the feature. The user webgui shows “Teilen nicht erlaubt”

Hi Bumann,

how did you managed to do this?
I tried the same but i was not able to mount it.

What i did:

  • installed UCS
  • made user
  • made a share “home”
  • added home share to the POSIX in user account (probably not needed for nextcloud anyway)
  • installed nextcloud
  • enabled external storage on next cloud
  • tried to add it via nextcloud
