Migration Scalix to Zarafa

Hey,

we want to migrate a customer from Scalix to Zarafa. It’s small business with about 8 mailboxes. What steps are needed to migrate ? Zarafa should run on the same system where Scalix is now running.

 1. export mailboxes, public folders, etc to .pst files
 2. uninstall univention-scalix packages
 3. install mysql, postfix
 4. install Zarafa4UCS
 5. create users and public folders
 6. import mailboxes from the .pst files
 7. be happy with Zarafa and the option for upgrade to UCS 2.4

Did I forgot something ?

Thanks,
Roland

Hello,

you should be able to perform the migration in the afore mentioned way. I would suggest to alter two points:
1) export mailboxes, public folders, etc to .pst files
2) uninstall univention-scalix packages
3) install mysql, postfix
4) install Zarafa4UCS
5) create users and public folders
6) import mailboxes from the .pst files
7) be happy with Zarafa and the option for upgrade to UCS 2.4
1. Installing these packages seperatly will not be necessary, as they will be installed and configured in dependency of the Zarafa4UCS integration package.

 2. As the users will probably exist in the UCS LDAP there is no need to create them again. Activating the Zarafa User Option via UDM will suffice.

Kind Regards,
