Hello,
only a short question howto set in univention the maximal_queue_lifetime?
For me the 5d is too long…
Tnx in advance the answer.

Hello,

unfortunately there is no easy way to set this option. We are currently working on an opportunity to add a custom main.cf.local config (see here).

In the mean time you can add your option to one of the template files for the main.cf under /etc/univention/templates/files/etc/postfix/main.cf.d/. My choice would be the 10_general. But pay attention in updates of this template. Check after UCS updates (especially in postfix/mail updates) the templates e.g. with univention-check-templates.

@birkefeld: Wouldnt it be possible to create a new file like “99_custom” in the templates directory to avoid dealing with updated templates?

No, the template mechanism is not as easy as you guess :wink:
The template file has to be register by univention-install-config-registry (during the package installation). For more information see Developer Reference
