Is it ok to add the debian 9 repos to univention and update and install software from the repos?

Hi @john,
I’d recommend you to NOT do this. Maybe you could find the package you’re looking for, in the unmaintained repository of UCS.
Just enable it by setting the following UCR variable:

ucr set repository/online/unmaintained=yes

What package is it you need?

It is in the unmaintained repo:
