Installed, but can not connect to server

Hey all,

I’m new to Univention, so I’m not 100% sure what to expect out of it. I just completed my first install of the system and after installing and rebooting as per the installer’s instructions I am able to boot with no issues. However, once Univention is finished starting up, I am taken to a Firefox “No network connection” screen which takes up the entirety of my screen. I assume this is because the management system is web-based, so it comes to Firefox and not a regular desktop. That’s cool, but why can’t I connect to a server if the server ? I’m not attempting to remote in, and I installed Univention bare-metal.

Any ideas on what may be wrong or where to start ? Thanks !

Paste your ip addr.

Do you have a DHCP server in your network? Does your machine have network connectivity? Did you assign a fixed IP address during the installation (which you can only do if you select “advanced options” during the boot process; otherwise DHCP will be used automatically)?
