IMAP activation

Hello,

I try to check my mail over a IMAP mail Client and be not successfull means. Here my configuration:

1.) UCS Server pakage up to date.

2.) security/packetfilter/package/kopano4ucs/tcp/143/all/en: IMAP

3.) mail/dovecot/imap: yes

4.) User Aktiviere spezifische Features für Benutzer: IMAP Access

Mail client:

1.) SSL security activated

2.) Ports 993 IMAP, 25 SMTP

Is there another "activation" or Installation required? Feedback from Outook is that the login into the IMAP account is ok but the send out of testmail isnt successfull.

Any idea whats going wrong or have tob e activated or installed additional in ucs server? Thx in advanced!

Hi,

outgoing mail goes through postfix smtp server - you’ll have to check the credentials there - as i remember you’ll have to use your email address as username instead of login name like in kopano

EDIT: just did a test with thunderbird, settings for smtp are port587 username = login name and security STARTTLS

Hello externa1,
very good FB! Now it runs! Here the configuration in total. SSL configuration doesnt run but TLS runs (Maybe the wrong port for SSL):

UCS Server running configuration:
1.) security/packetfilter/package/kopano4ucs/tcp/143/all/en: IMAP
2.) mail/dovecot/imap: yes
3.) User Aktiviere spezifische Features für Benutzer: IMAP Access
4.) TLS also activated

Mail client outlook running configuration (SMTP Password is email address!):
1.) TLS security activated
2.) Ports 143 IMAP, 587 SMTP
3.) Login user is login name, Password is login password
4.) SMTP Server authentication: Login name: Email address , Password is login password
