I have ODOO installed under UCS 4.x. I’m not able to print PDF invoices/RFQs/POs etc. It appears I am missing the Wkhtmltopdf package. I’ve consulting ODOO support and they seem to know nothing about UCS.
Does anyone know how to install this Wkhtmltopdf package? It does not appear to be in the the UCS Repository…though I could be looking in the wrong places.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

ucr set repository/online/unmaintained="yes"

I still get: E: Unable to locate package wkhtmltopdf when I do…univention-install wkhtmltopdf.
Additionally I tried :apt-cache policy wkhtmltopdf, I get nothing returned…I do not get the results you do when you run it. I just just returned to the command line.

okay, to be honest I haven’t seen this before. Let’s try to figure it out.
The error message you get while executing “univention-repository-update net” should be [bug]39073[/bug]. As far as I can tell, this is only a warning and should not brake anything.
Your UCR settings seem to be okay. I suspected that “repository/mirror/version/*” might be wrong, but they look good.
The correct local paths exist.
Could you please just check if the package is there or not?
ls -la /var/lib/univention-repository/mirror/4.0/unmaintained/4.0-0/amd64/wkhtmltopdf*I’m wondering it we have a problem downloading the package to the local repo or if there’s a problem with accessing packages in the local repo. If the packages exists in your local file system, then try to download it from a different machine:
wget http://bebucsmdc1.bebconsultingservices.com/univention-repository/4.0/unmaintained/4.0-0/amd64/wkhtmltopdf_0.9.9-4.5.201403140533_amd64.debIf this fails, please have a look at “/var/log/apache2/access.log”. Are there any “access denied” messages?
If the package is not even present in the local filesystem of your repo server, then please post the content of “/etc/apt/mirror.list”.

Description wkhtmltopdf is a command line program which permits one to create a pdf from an url, a local html file or stdin. It produces a pdf like rendred with the WebKit engine. This program requires an X11 server to run.
However the application ODOO can’t find it.
OK, Looks like manually installing it does work.
You have to WGET it from the master server, then run dkpg -i , then reboot.
After that you will get errors that it is the OLD verzion of wkhtmltopdfm but it will create PDFs that are needed.

I’ll have to do this one the new ODOO server we are migrating to. But thanks again for the pointers and getting me in the right direction.
Well I though it worked…now it does create PDF Files, however they are empty files.
and even the attachments to emails are empty PDFs.
For ODOO 8 version install wkhtmltox-0.12.1_linux-trusty-amd64.deb. Thereafter, if the given file wkhtmltopdf and wkhtmltoimage copy from /usr/local/bin to /usr/bin . It is important to add with ODOO under /Settings/Parameters/System Parameters the following record: Key = report.url value = http: //0.0.0.0: 8069 or the port is running under the ODOO.
