How-To: Install Active Directory-kompatibler Domänencontroller on Backup Directory Note

Hi - I have added to an existing “Primary Directory Note” an “Backup Directory Note”.

Installed on the PDN are the apps:

  • Active Directory-kompatibler Domänencontroller
  • DHCP-Server

I tried to install both apps as well on the BDN - but I’m unable to find both apps.
I can see that both apps are installed in the domain - but they are not listed in the list below:

The PDN is running on version 5.0-7 errata995
The BDN is running on version 5.0-7 errata998

On a different network, I upgraded over the years from 4.2 to now 5.0 where I added a new BDN based on version 5.0.x (now 5.0-6 errata916), I was able to install both apps.

So what is it that I’m missing - or has something been changed in general?

Thank you in advance

click the DHCP Server icon on your last screenshot (Installiert in der Domäne) then “Installationen verwalten” there you have an “install” Button where you may select the additional server to install the app

Thank you for the feedback - and it worked the following way for me.

Select on the BDN the app that you want to install:

Than click on “Installation verwalten”:

Click on “Installieren”:

Select the BDN from the list:

Klick “Fortfahren”:

And just wait

PS: Not sure if that is now a workaround or the new official way. Anyway - I’m a step ahead
