does anyone here have experiences in managing openstack based virtual instances via UVMM?
It would be nice to manage “native UCS” virtual machines in environments like https://heicloud.uni-heidelberg.de/ (Because, among other things, they offer free choice of OS images)
Using hosters like hetzner & co,
- you’re more or less forced to deploy VMs based on a standard debian/ubuntu only. This needlessly increases the complexity to host UCS based VMs.
- you have to manage the VMs with some kind of a third party management system, although UVMM offers most of the features you need.
What do you guys think?
