E-mail report for bareos or bareos monitoring with nagios

Hello,

my UCS 4.3 server runs well now. I set up bareos to back up the server to a Synology NAS and this works fine, too. Now i’m searching for a solution to create a e-mail report of the backup or monitor it with nagios.

I tried to use the bacula script here:

https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Plugins/Backup-and-Recovery/Bacula/check_bacula-2Epl/details

but it won’t start.

Is there a easy way to create a e-mail report with bareos?

Hello Jochen,

I get emails by editing:
/etc/bareos/bareos-dir.d/messages/Standard.conf and /etc/bareos/bareos-dir.d/messages/Daemon.conf

I just had to edit the operator and mail vars. I’m sure you find detailed information about the message module from the bareos docs.
