We’ve reviewed the maintenance status of Apps together with their usage and decided to discontinue some of the Apps currently available for UCS but not part of the support scope of our subscriptions. These Apps will be deactivated in the App Center in the upcoming days, so that new installations of these Apps are not possible anymore. The App description will be extended to let current installations know that the App is discontinued.
Current installations of the App will see no immediate difference, the App will still work. But the App needs to be uninstalled to be able to upgrade to the next UCS minor release UCS 5.2.
The discontinued Apps are:
- etherpad
- ethercalc
- element and synapse
- gitlab
- dudle
- wordpress
Part of the review was to check if Univention customers are affected by a discontinuation and clarify concerns if there are any. In case we missed something and you are affected please get in touch with one of your Univention contacts or our support team.
