Is there a convention which disagrees with additional custom containers in the LDAP from Univention?
Example:
I want to structure our so called computer Objects with containers for “servers”, “dekstops”, etc.
I’m kind of a newbie so thanks for your advice.
Hi,
I would recommend against using customized directory structures.
Most maintenance or administrative tools assume the objects in the default locations. So you might get a lot of unwanted side effects if you move them to a different place.
Same applies to Windows-AD, BTW.
