This article is giving an overview over the installation of UCS 4.2 and 4.3 inside Microsoft Hyper-V.
The process of the installation described in the following article is tested with Windows Server 2016 with Hyper-V. The instructions described here might differ for older version of Windows Server/Hyper-V.
Creation of Virtual Machine
For the creation of the virtual machine, you first have to download the UCS ISO file provided on our Homepage.
After your download is finished, you can create the machine via the Menu Actions → New → Virtual Machine inside the Hyper-V Manager.
Here, you have to make sure to select Generation 1 as virtual machine generation in the Specify Generation tab, and choose the UCS iso-File as installation image file. Everything else can be configured to your desires.
Installation of UCS
During the installation there are no special requirements. However, to ensure a proper functioning, you should install the newest patchlevel and errata updates for UCS 4.
