Checking for space on /var/cache/apt/archives: failed

Hello
bei einem Update habe ich diese Fehlermeldung bekommen

Custom preupdate script /var/lib/local-preup.sh not found
Checking for space on /var/cache/apt/archives: failed
ERROR: Not enough space in /var/cache/apt/archives, need at least 4000 MB.
This may interrupt the update and result in an inconsistent system!
If necessary you can skip this check by setting the value of the
config registry variable update44/checkfilesystems to "no".
But be aware that this is not recommended!

Error: Update aborted by pre-update script of release 4.4-6

im Verzeichniss /var/cache/apt/archives sind
a) alte files

@fbartels danke für dein Feedback.
apt clean hat keine Wirkung gezeigt - auch kein löschen oder kein feedback

eine Idee was und ob es gelöscht werden kann?

Hello

it say to change something in the registry
but in
Univention Configuration Registry

i can’t find the
update44/checkfilesystems

so how should i do the update?

have a nice day

Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen, der eine Server hinkt im update/upgrade hinter den anderen nach

The setting can be created by running ucr set update44/checkfilesystems='no'.

But the “no effect” after running apt clean is strange (and that directory btw very well exists on other Debian based distributions). Could it be that the partition that holds the root filesystem simply is too small/full?

@fbartels
thanks for your feedback
because the ucs only holds the cupe for Printing i did it small, butt still should be enough space

On the contrary.

UCS gave the following code according to your first post:

Your disk usage is:

Your whole disk, is only 7.8G, with 2.3G still free. This is less than the ~4G that the updater is asking for.

(Yes, I know that the quoted numbers are from after the update. But before the update your free disk space was not really considerably more)

i have added your coment like this then it worked

and there is only a small about of space lost. but yes maybe a only 10G Disk is to small - i was thinking would be enought because cups is the only job to do and to serve.
