Fixed the problem by setting the DNS forwarders:

$ ucr set dns/forwarder1=<DNS.server.IP.1> dns/forwarder2=<DNS.server.IP.2> dns/forwarder3=<DNS.server.IP.3>
$ service bind9 restart
