Cant Login Windows Client after Reset/Change Password

I can’t login to the Windows client computer after I reset or change my password, or sometimes there is a delay of 30-40 minutes before I can login, does anyone know why this happens? How to fix it?

The delay happens after three login attempts with wrong password, followed by locked account. Depending on installed software it may happen, that a connector-service still uses the old password and tries to login before the user does login with the new password.

One software, that tries to login before the user, is “ACT! for Windows 16” and higher with activated “ACT! Outlook-Connector” service.

Maybe there is running a similar service or autostart program (for all users) on the Windows client PC.
