Authentication error while trying to add Debian client to UCS

Hello,

I have a Debian machine and I was following this documentation
https://docs.software-univention.de/domain-5.0.html#ext-dom-ubuntu

By the next step I had this error

authentication error: {‘desc’: ‘Connect error’}

I don’t know if any have any idea why I have this error ?

Not sure I can help but this is what drove me (last weekend) to write my own script based on that same guide and some other examples.

There are seven ‘parts’ in the 5.0 guide. But while writing my script, I concluded that Step 7 (related to lightdm) no longer applies to recent Debian (or Ubuntu) and that ‘auth-client-config’ package is not available. So errors for it and its config can be ignored.

What section of that guide were you following when the error occurred? What specific sciptlet from that section?
