When building apps with Docker, the usual production implementation is built so that there is at least one application container and one or more database containers for the application. In UCS 4.2, where the databases of the apps do live – in separate Docker containers (one DB per container), in one Docker container dedicated for the DB’s, in the same Docker container as the app or directly on the host?

UCS 4.2 has not been released yet. Currently, App databases are directly on the host. See wiki.univention.de/index.php?tit … S/Database for what is possible now. Multiple containers are not supported at the moment.
