App Center Apps missing on fresh install from AWS AMI

Hello all,

Recently did an install on via AWS market place using the AMI provided. However when I login and go to the App Center I’m only seeing about 12 or so applications. Not the full list from the App Center market. When running univention-app list it’s the same. I followed the license installation instructions during the install and show that the license was install successfully.

Log files for the other applications show no HostDN for the other applications.

Trying to install Letsencrypt and running into issues because of this.

Any help would be most appreciated and I’m happy to provide any log files.

Thank you!

Well that’s lovely. It appears the AMI provided on AWS marketplace is no good at all.

Busted

Working
Whereas the AMI available via https://www.univention.com/downloads/ucs-in-the-cloud/ucs-ec2-image/ works just fine

4 hours wasted troubleshooting hah.

Hi,

The version in the AWS Marketplace designed to be run as a Domain Controller. As per AWS Terms, installing additional software, which could be purchased at a cost is not allowed. Thus, all Apps, which require an additional license or activation of UCS are not available in the Marketplace.

Best,

Kevin

Thanks Kevin,

I went ahead and ditched AWS for a clean image on digitalocean.

Appreciate you taking the time to respond.
