Am Host vorhandenes LV an VM durchreichen

Hallo zusammen,

Ich habe auf dem Virtualisierungs-Host (UCS) ein VolumeGroup mit zwei LV’s:

Eines davon (/dev/vg01/backup) nutzt der Host direkt, hat es unter /backup gemountet und bareos schreibt hier rein.

Das zweite (/dev/vg01/video) müsste ich in einer VM nutzen. Da dies dort für eine Freigabe gebraucht wird. Geht das?

Wie man das genau beim UCS umsetzt weiss ich nicht, aber das hier könnte helfen:

Habe es vorhin hin bekommen. Wollte die Lösung auch posten. Ist ganz einfach. Das Volume / LV ist ja auf dem KVM-Host (UCS) als:

/dev/vg01/video

Im UVMM einfach: Gerät -> Festplatte -> pysische Device (oder so ähnlich bin gerade unterwegs). Dort einfach diesen Pfad rein fertig.

Habe es erst mal mit einer Test-VM (SystemRescueCD) getetstet wo ich das Devie anschließend problemlos partitionieren, formatieren und mounten konnte.

Werde es heute Abend am Produktiv-System einbinden.
