for a long time (the last years) my windows clients faceing this problem:
After a reboot the 1. attempt to enter the samba folder on the ucs server fails when i use the hostname without the domain. The ucs server isn’t shown in the “Netzwerk” section. Ping and nslookup in the console bring up the right IP without an issue. Enter the samba share with IP or the hostname.domain.de works well. A few seconds (maybe 10 or 20) after the 1. attemp the \ucs works well.
The DNS server is set to the DC and the DNS-suffix is ok. at the client when i open ipconfig /all.
I used the IP address in most cases but now i want to solve it properly.
Do you have an idea what this behave come from?
