Updating Kopano core, after upgrade to UCS 4.2

I just updated UCS, with help by SirTux:

The Kopano webapp doesn’t work anymore, with an error: “Unknown MAPI Error: MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND”.
The app centre says it can be upgraded: “Kopano WebApp: Version 3.2.0.335-19.1-2 can be updated to 3.3.0.610”. When I try to upgrade the webapp, I get a notification window, which says: “the Kopano Core dependencies have been updated to 8.3.1. Please update the Kopano Core app first, if you have both app running on the same server!”

I then get “Kopano WebApp requires the following applications. Kopano Core (this application may be installed on any computer in the domain). Install them first.”

In the following window it says: “The installation of Kopano Core was successful and you are only a few steps away from using Kopano”. The status is “8.1.1.10-8.1-3 installed” for my domain (which is the only domain and the only Kopano server). I can only uninstall this version.
So, I cannot update Kopano core, while I need version 8.3.1…

I have tried registering Kopano core, but that didn’t help:

Hi @sakgRtd2w,

are there any logs in the server.log when kopano-server is starting? i’ve seen kopano-server refuse to start because of a library mismatch (don#t remember the exact log message), for this the following could help: https://wiki.z-hub.io/display/K4U/Kopano+does+not+start+anymore+after+updating+from+UCS+4.1+to+4.2

if not then i’d suggest to install kopano-core via “univention-install” and copy here the exact error message printed.

Thnx for the reply. The server logs gave SQL-errors. I couldn’t install Kopano-server manually, as it required Kopano utils, which required Kopano client (dependancy hell).
So I just decide to remove the apps and start anew…
However, after removing and installing Kopano again through the webinterface, the mail- and calendardata for the users was still there. So in the end a simple solution :slight_smile:
